Mission Abdullah :Educare

Abdullah approached Abhaya foundation in March 2015. At that time he was studying third year BTech in Vignana Jyothi Institue of Engineering and Technology, Bachupally. His room rent was 2500 and had to bear food expenses also. He got support from his relative also but that was not sufficient. Abhaya suggested him part time job. Soon he got one part time job and started earning Rs.800. Abhaya added support by providing accommodation money. He is working well and at the same time concentrated on his studies. He attended SEVA MELA and felt how good it was to stand by needy person. He attended Abhaya annual event and was surprised to see the huge support provided by Abhaya to many. He took coaching for GATE.  Abdullah concentrated on exams and at the same time on GATE coaching also. He is attending special classes in college for campus recruitment. Mission Irfan - Educare

Family Background  :  Irfan's family  is financially very poor. He lost his father at an early age and he has a younger sister who is doing air hostess training with the support of Abhaya. He used to earn Rs.7000 per month and send Rs.5000 to his sister for her hostel fees. His mother is a beautician who works at home and this is how they are leading their life. When he approached Abhaya, Irfan was studying BBM second year in Nalanda degree college, Vijayawada. He was also working for BPO job and earned Rs.7000 per month.  Irfan had to pay Rs.21500 for second year and was not allowed for the exams until its paid. He then met Mr.Siva Krishna (Abhaya secretary) through Raghav and explained his problems. Siva Krishna spoke to college administration and requested them for paying the fee in 2 installments. Mission Nagaraju - Educare

Nagaraju aimed at getting into defense forces with his NCC credentials. He has passed C certificate exam in NCC. For that he should have continuous education without any gap. So he first tried for BSc but could not get seat and then opted for BTech. Family background : Nagaraju's father expired in 2003. He has 2 sisters. Elder one got married. His mother is working as agricultural laborer. She is earning around Rs.4000 to Rs.5000 per month. She and her younger daughter are maintaining livelihood with that little amount. They have an acre of land which is pledged with SBH. He belongs to BC-D and is a BPL candidate. He lived with his uncle in Addagutta who has been providing him food and clothing for some days. He is studying BTech  Vasavi Engineering College and is referred by Sri.Ramalingewararao of Baghlingampally Hyderabad. His annual fees for one academic year comes to Rs.1,18,000 and Rs.35,000 is expected to be compensated by government under BPL student category. Bala

Mission Sireesha - Educare

Sireesha approached Abhaya for her education fees and completed her BSc successfully and started working in a fertilizer company. Family background : P.Sireesha Ponneri from Chittoor district  was studying in BSc (Agriculture)  in Trinity Academy of Agriculture, Balaji Nagar, Secunderabad. She comes from poor family. Her father expired in December 2010. Since then her mother is working as attender in Sri Visweswara Junior college and feeding the family and earning Rs.4000 per month. Her mother has to take care of her three daughters and one son. Sireesha's college fees for second year was Rs.150000 per annum but considering her situation college provided her 50% discount on the fees. So she had to pay Rs.75000 for second year. Rs.25000 was arranged by Abhayans but rest of the amount could not be paid and she decided to discontinue. Mission Afreen - Educare

Syed Afreen an aspirant of air hostess approached Abhaya with the help of Raghav. Family Background :  Afreen's family  is financially very poor. She lost her father at an early age and she has an elder brother who is doing BBM by doing a BPO job. He used to earn Rs.7000 per month and send Rs.5000 to her for her hostel fees. Her mother is a beautician who works at home and this is how they are leading their life. She started her training for air hostess in Frankfinn institute, hyd in August 2015. Total fee was Rs.120000. Family could pay only Rs.88000 and so she could not continue her training in institute. Her brother Irfan met Mr.Raghav and explained the situation.  Raghav arranged a meet with Mr.Siva Krishna  and also visited the institute in Himayath Nagar and spoke to admin and manager. He requested them to allow Afreen for the classes and promised to pay Rs.32000 through Abhaya foundation. Amount has been transferred within 2 days. She completed Galileo exam on

Eye surgeries for 10 Godhumaguda villagers

The team Godhumaguda VDC convinced the first batch of 20 senior citizens of Godhumaguda village for getting their Eye surgeries done at LV Prasad Eye institute, Hyderabad. All of them are accompanied by Thukaram & Sivakumar to Hyderabad on February 28th. Ramsastry and team from Hyundai received the villagers. At first eye surgery is done for 10 villagers on March 1st 2017. 4 villagers are given spectacles and another 6 villagers are given dates for their surgeries. the villagers being sent to home after 2 days of their surgeries.

Mission VijayaLakshmi

Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi needed knee surgery worth Rs.3.5 Lakh. Family background : Vijaya Lakshmi wife of K.Satya Dev who is working as Company Secretary for a firm with a small salary.  Vijaya Lakshmi was complaining of pain in her both knee joints since many years. In May, due to unbearable pain she has undergone knee surgery for both knees at Deccan Hospital, Somajiguda. Surgery cost was Rs.3.50 Lakh and out of which Satya Dev paid Rs.2 Lakh at Hospital. Rs.1.0 Lakh worth implants were brought through one of their relative with an understanding to remit in 2 or 3 installments. Abhaya provided some amount. Apart from the above, Doctor advised for physiotherapy for 3 to 4 months which is costing Rs.15,000/- per month.  She did her regular exercises. Now she does not need any medication. Now she is walking and climbing stairs. They thanked Abhaya for the support and blessings.

Mission Rajeshwari

TasnimAli Akber's domestic help Rajeswari had fibroid in her uterus and approached Abhaya through Mrs.Rashida Adenwala. Family Background : Rajeswari works as cook and house keeper drawing a monthly salary of Rs.8000/-. After that she irons clothes and delivers in her neighborhood. She resides at west marredpally.  She was abandoned by her husband and for 10 years she lives alone as both her daughters are married. Dr.Vijaya Lakshmi, who consults at Geeta Nursing Home suggested surgery for a fibroid in her uterus, quoting a price of Rs.70,000/- plus extra for preoperative tests and blood if required. She had a fibroid which is large and which has started to affect her kidneys and pushing the bladder causing her pain and nausea.  Tasnim paid Rs.10,000/-. Abhaya foundation pooled Rs.60,000/- and spoke to Dr.Ramachandra Reddy, Meghna Reddy at Geeta Nursing Home. They assured the best possible discount for the lady. Mission Teena : Successfully recovered from Leukaemia

In August 2014, Teena, a little girl was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia-L2 variant. As per doctors the treatment will cost about Rs.10 Lakhs to overcome the disease based on their experience at Basavatarakam Indo American Hospital (Hyderabad). Family Background : Teena's father is an employee in a medical factory in Gujarat and he has spent money above his level and he could not further afford the cost of the treatment. Her mother is a house wife. Teena also has a younger sister. Thanks to Raghav (Volunteer) for the kind support Abhaya Foundation took up this case but it was highly impossible to pool such a huge amount. Important thing here is she is in curable state and can come out of danger. Raghav an employee of ADP Hyderabad connected Teena with the Abhaya foundation and is supporting her.
