Abhaya Home of HOPE - a dream home for Destitutes

Abhaya VISION to set up a home for destitutes, deprived, homeless, disadvantaged, orphans and old aged people in vicinity of Hyderabad.  This Project is being envisaged to provide relief to those people who are laying on the road side/foot paths in the cities and not cared by any one. This requires lot of support from the Government as well as corporate groups as the cost of the project may go beyond Rs.1 Cr. THIS DREAM CAN COME TRUE PROVIDED WE HAVE WILL TO DO IT. Serving hands are better than thinking hearts and talking lips! ABHAYA Vignan school : A Project for Corporate Sponsoring... for even better valued school

Abhaya, find it as a great chance to improve the quality of the education Add life skills to the unemployed youth. It recognized the dedication and capability of the teaching team Decided to help them for their own sustenance Reestablish the school and run by foundation Abhaya signed a MOU with the Trust/ land owners of existing facility over there “Abhaya Vignan School” is now running for the past one year. Abhaya’s plan is to run the school with no profit/ no loss basis and have plans to  provide free education in that village with the help of Corporate partnership. Though the initial thought was to make use of the resources generated from the school/training for development of school,  it became impossible for the reason, that no one is paying even nominal fee. How to Hunt the Winter

Hunt the winter

Facet-2

Why is it so difficult to help others....? Do we not have confidence that we can do something for others or is it the lack of empathy in us....?? All these blogs and Facebook accounts have been created to get closer to the younger minds. Yet, we do not see any kind of response from them. Are we so immersed in the race of life that we cannot see the grievances of the people living around us? One day, I keep a status about a hero or a song.....The very next hour...I receive umpteen number of likes and comments regarding that.... But, when I keep a status regarding social service or regarding saving money to donate to the needy....I hardly receive 1% of the response that I got earlier... Is it so difficult to save money for someone else? Is it necessary to know the person to help him? Is it not our minimum social responsibility that we give back something to the society? We donot know the urgency of the need until something happens to any of our friends or people we know....Un

abhaya thank for your kind time on 01.11.2010

Dear Abhayans,  abhaya salute you for your kind hearted gesture of sparing your time for almost 5 hours yesterday at Mercure for the Thanks giving ceremony and Annual meet of abhaya Foundation. .. Though we missed many of our well wishers yesterday, we did not actually miss the help and support they gave to us..We thank each one of you for your valuable time and support to abhaya since beginning.

To.....GET-team

My reviews about the GET team... The enthusiasm is over-flowing....The will to help is strong.....I can hear the reverberations of "WE CAN" from each and everyone of  the team.... After the huge success of GET abhaya to GIVE...I sincierely request the team not to get diversified on their focus....There was entertainment in that...U people had fun....For the future projects that we undertake, the fun will be much higher....the satisfaction you get will be pure and complete... Just imagine this.... You have a friend who is in a very crtitical situation.....Doctors are not saying anything perfectly....the family is crestfallen and they cant find the source of money to help him get back to normal stage....What will u do? He was one of your best friends....U r not able to see him and his family in that stage...so obviously, you will try your level best to pool out resources.....you will ask your family, your relatives, your friends...tell them evrything you remember of him.

Mission - Pardhsarathy by Abhaya Foundation

Happy Days …together Our love story started in the Year 2000 at Baby Moon Junior College, Khammam where we both of us met each other.  I was in MPC and Pardhu was in Bi.P.C., his passion was to become a Doctor, as his father was very keen to see Pardhu as a Doctor. Our College days brought us together and we were in love, but never lost our focus on studies. Both families agreed to perform our marriage. Everything was going smooth between us. But, all of the sudden there was some misunderstanding sprouted between the two families and they decided to call off the wedding proposal… not able to understand our state of mind. It was too late then, myself and Pardhu were happy with each other’s company. We decided to bring a meaningful conclusion for our relationship by marrying. It was that time I joined Engineering course as I got 18000 rank and secured a seat in Vasavi Engineering College, Hyderabad, though my family’s economic condition was not so good. Pardhu’s parents did not want him

Facet

Since how many days are we seeing people around us who are financially low but has immense talent. Since how many days are we seeing people around us who get deprived of oppurtunities because of their status in the society. Since how many days are we thinking that "Hope I get a chance to help such people"...."Hope I can do something to change the society I am living in". There are some people who take the lead to help others. There are some who wish they could but cannot find the correct way to do it. And there are others who have apprehensions about helping others, escpecially when money is involved. "What if the money I give doesnt reach the affected"..."What if my money gets wasted by the organisation". Believe me, I have journeyed through all the three cases. But my luck has it that I travalled exactly from the last case to the first. And now, I could trust that whatever money I collect or give or donate would definitely reach the needy

Abhaya - Sofiya

Let us try to give a second life to SOFIA GLORY, a girl of just 14 years. She lost both her kidneys and is undergoing kidney transplantation. She hails from a poor family. At this moment, she is undergoing dialysis thrice a week and once the bladder infection is cleared, she will need kidney transplantation. The approximate cost of operation is Rs. 4 lakhs. So let us go ahead and do the needful in saving the child. Those who are interested to support this project, please respond.

Abhaya - Kalyan

This post is about lending our hands for Mr. Kalyan who is in a very bad condition and needs some serious help. Kalyan, a 30 year old "tailor", was hit by an auto rickshaw on July 15 2010. Kalyan was seriously injured and was admitted in "Sun Shine Hospital", Hyderabad where he is undergoing treatment. Doctors said that Kalyan was to be operated on soon so as to reset his 'acetabular fracture' i.e., fracture near his hip joint. He was directly hit by an auto rickshaw on his hip which was coming head-on onto the auto in which Kalyan was travelling. It was a very serious injury. The operation costs around Rs.2 lakhs and the operation should be done as soon as possible. Kalyan is from a family of seven and is a main source of the family income. His parents are old and cannot afford such a huge amount. His brother, the only other earning member in his family, has tried his level best in amassing an amount of Rs.40,000 for his brother`s operation and cannot ge
