Mathru Devo Bhava

Ebbs and flows are part and parcel in the cruise of life. Voyager’s intention is to hold the steering tight, face the mighty inevitable storm, sail through the torrential rains, beat the oceans in its own game.

Srimati Alivelumanga Thayaru steered her ship through the mightiest of oceans, bent the societal flows, helped others build their ships and sail along with her, and in the end on the inevitable day as her ship sank her soul swayed away and mixed itself with the blue sky and started it's journey to God's Adobe to resonate the meaning of life forever.

If it’s not clear yet, it is his holiness Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami ji's mother who is in the details. Like mother, like son.

Many a time, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji shared with everyone about his mother who permitted him to take sainthood (yathya:sram). He is ever grateful to his mother for happily letting him choose to serve the cause of his acharya, and not limit him with a unit family. Lovingly known as "Amma Garu", she also sings great verses on Shree Ramajunacharya. To listen to one of her songs in her last days, click here. The good deeds of her cannot be measured in a particular parameter, it will be too less if expressed in mere words.

On 11th September 2020, the day of last rites, founder of abhaya foundation, Balachandra paid homage to Swamy Ji's mother. He also had the opportunity to chant namas and complete a pradakshana around Amma garu.

The saddened founder couldn’t control his emotions and decided to express himself by writing the below ode to Swamy Ji's mother.

Where the poem ended, begins our story...

The founder along with the poem also expressed his thought about his decision to do “Nithyanna Seva” in the name of Srimati Alivelumanga Thayaru on 11th September every year.

A heartful gratitude to the departed soul indeed.

Having read the message, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ji appreciated the founder’s decision. The eloquence and the humbleness in the founder’s words left Swamy Ji , and asked the administration to send  day he donated a One Lakh rupees to abhaya foundation for "Nithyaanna Seva".

One thing to be specifically noticed here.

Swamy Ji’s mother lived a great life helping others.

Founder of abhaya admired it and thought of  selflessly doing his bit through "Nithyanna Seva" as an offering at her feet. Swamy Ji appreciated founder’s selfless intentions and multiplicity of goodness increased by his hefty grant. If we can observe, we can conclude if intentions are pure then godly things come back to us multi-folded.

Greatness in any form, small or big gestures, becomes a story that is going to be creating a histor one day. Live a loving life so your story will be remembered in time immemorial.

If such a Divine master believes that "Nithyanna Seva" is the most divine gesture, we should also follow his footsteps. Join abhaya Foundation, where we help the needy and the deprived in the name of such kind-hearted souls. In this ring fighting against hunger, we will not respite until hunger is "Knocked out".

The "Nithyanna Seva" Scheme is a golden opportunity to serve the people at abhaya Home of Happiness for a specific day every year. To know more about the seva, click here

Super 60

After years of HEART work, with the support of donors and well wishers... abhaya CCL Empowerment Campus at Anatapuram is completed. Trustees formed the Executive Body and visited the campus too. At abhaya we strive to lend a hand to the needy at all times. We also encourage other organisations who would want to serve the society. We try and help them with the required manpower, premises, etc...It's like joining Hands...Heads...Hearts in serving the community. abhaya never say No to any like minded NGOs...For them criteria is only Selfless Work. There are scores of NGOs who joined hands in service with abhaya. One such organisation is Niswartha Foundation with its "Super 60" program. A few details of the program are below: Niswartha Foundation , Uravakonda, Anantapuram Dist, AP   The atlas shrugged its shoulders when it was asked to shoulder the burden of responsibility. With a motto to serve selflessly and to carry the responsibility of improving the pitfalls of society

Facet

Since how many days are we seeing people around us who are financially low but has immense talent. Since how many days are we seeing people around us who get deprived of oppurtunities because of their status in the society. Since how many days are we thinking that "Hope I get a chance to help such people"...."Hope I can do something to change the society I am living in". There are some people who take the lead to help others. There are some who wish they could but cannot find the correct way to do it. And there are others who have apprehensions about helping others, escpecially when money is involved. "What if the money I give doesnt reach the affected"..."What if my money gets wasted by the organisation". Believe me, I have journeyed through all the three cases. But my luck has it that I travalled exactly from the last case to the first. And now, I could trust that whatever money I collect or give or donate would definitely reach the needy

The Difference

A New year has come with New expectations and New responsibilities... Abhaya has welcomed the first day with lots of programs and spent time with people who were in need of moral support to bring-in brightness into their lives. In the first week itself, Abhaya got a huge oppurtunity to put forward our work in front of the whole state through the " Velugu Veliginchu " program of Maa TV . The program was telecast on 2nd Jan 2011. But, the aftermath of this telecast was something that was totally unexpected. More than 250 calls were received seeking help just in the first two days. Not more than 50 calls came from people who were willing to donate or willing to volunteer for joining hands with Abhaya to do the good work. So, Why is this exponential difference? Even as I am writing this, I know there must be someone, somewhere who have called us and about to meet us this sunday....silently thinking about how much amount can abhaya give them....or how much of the way forward
