abhaya's 14th year of Selfless service

Form 10B, Certificates u/s 12A & 80G, FC-4, Form TM-A... and the list goes on.

All the above annual compliances are required under various acts regulating abhaya Foundation.

To just promote a good cause and serve society, should one comply with all of the above mammoth tasks?

Yes, very much. Being transparent and accountable is the duty of every NGO and abhaya's founder who is a Company Secretary himself has done his best to comply with these.

All our receipts and payments are audited by a qualified chartered accountant and the same are published on our website. We also have the Trust Deed, Approvals from regulatory bodies including PAN card are hosted on the website for public access. To have a glimpse of them, click here

Started in the year 2006 with a motive to "Love all and Serve All", we have crossed many milestones and many yet are to be reached soon.

Some of the remarkable ones include
  • CII enlisted abhaya in their Dossier of NGO’s
  • Finalist in iVolunteer Award
  • Received Visesha Seva Puraskar from HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji
  • Registered under BSE Summan
  • Founder is the recipient of Anantha Aani Muthyalu Award
        ..and the list goes on.

As they tell it rightly "You get what you give", we have supported over 600+ surgeries and 600+ students, and the best part is that many of them who have received help in the past provide strong support in the future. Our Secretary Sri SV Siva Krishna is the best example of this.

This makes abhaya an entirely volunteer-driven organisation without any managerial staff adding up to the cost of the organistation.

Unlike many organisations which are limited to promoting one cause like providing food, making education accessible, abhaya's scope of service is huge. From providing blankets during the winters to providing umbrellas in the summers, from giving a home to the homeless at "abhaya Home of Happiness" at Hyderabad to CSR activities in Africa and Nepal, abhaya has no boundries when it comes to serve the needy.

The past 14 years have been a wonderful journey and it couldn't be possible without the support of the donors, volunteers, well-wishers.  We take this occasion to thank all of them without who this journey would be impossibe.

Please do check the well-drafted report here

Thank you,

Super 60

After years of HEART work, with the support of donors and well wishers... abhaya CCL Empowerment Campus at Anatapuram is completed. Trustees formed the Executive Body and visited the campus too. At abhaya we strive to lend a hand to the needy at all times. We also encourage other organisations who would want to serve the society. We try and help them with the required manpower, premises, etc...It's like joining Hands...Heads...Hearts in serving the community. abhaya never say No to any like minded NGOs...For them criteria is only Selfless Work. There are scores of NGOs who joined hands in service with abhaya. One such organisation is Niswartha Foundation with its "Super 60" program. A few details of the program are below: Niswartha Foundation , Uravakonda, Anantapuram Dist, AP   The atlas shrugged its shoulders when it was asked to shoulder the burden of responsibility. With a motto to serve selflessly and to carry the responsibility of improving the pitfalls of society ...

abhaya Hunt The Winter 2020

The 2020 population count was a stellar accumulation of unimaginable numbers. It outlined the total population of the country sweeping 1.3 Billion in numbers. Given the gradual and imminent increase in the population over years we can approximate the numbers to have touched the ceiling limit of 1.4 million  – given the 50 births per minute record rate.      As obvious as it sounds, the census was not only about recording the total population. It counted the total males, females, poor, rich, healthy, sick, young, old, homeless … ah, the homeless. Let’s pause and have a look at what the report has to say about it.    It is defined in the report that the homeless are those who do not live in houses, but rather stay on pavements, roadsides, railway platforms, staircases, temples, streets, in pipes, or other open spaces. There are 1.8 million homeless people in India consisting of single men, women, mothers, the elderly, and the disabled. Let’s put ...

Facet

Since how many days are we seeing people around us who are financially low but has immense talent. Since how many days are we seeing people around us who get deprived of oppurtunities because of their status in the society. Since how many days are we thinking that "Hope I get a chance to help such people"...."Hope I can do something to change the society I am living in". There are some people who take the lead to help others. There are some who wish they could but cannot find the correct way to do it. And there are others who have apprehensions about helping others, escpecially when money is involved. "What if the money I give doesnt reach the affected"..."What if my money gets wasted by the organisation". Believe me, I have journeyed through all the three cases. But my luck has it that I travalled exactly from the last case to the first. And now, I could trust that whatever money I collect or give or donate would definitely reach the needy...
